Toroa is in the middle just to the left of the monument, reading a poem at a commemoration for World War Two. On the right are representatives from Oxford.

Toroa and his classmate, Jan.

Toroa's Report
This year I volunteered, I got a poem I had to learn. I had to put down some flours on the monument. The poem was easer then I expected. We had to meet in the church. I left half an hour early, I went on my bike and could not find it. Therefore, I went to my friend's house. His name is Jan and he has three cats. One of them is new and ran away. When it was time we went to the church. That was where we heard that that Ekrem was not coming.

Tama at work on his book review.

The last one was on drugs, which he typed on the computer.

He decided that this one on Harry Potter, needed a more traditional touch.

And Toroa wrote a poem!

It is mothers day,
yes it is that day.
That is why I made this poem,
It's not about me
It's about my mother,
I truly love her.

Today my brother is a lion with a red mane. He is very weird for a lion. I am sure he is a lion because he has a lion license.

Tama's Poem for the day:

Today I am a lion or a tiger,
I don't know for if I
take my mane off I
am a tiger otherwise
a lion.

Later that day we hosted the feast of grandeur and so Tama remained a lion for that, since he thought a lion was an animal of grandeur.

choose another month Drawing by Toroa of the Bahá´í feast of Grandeur (Grootheid in Dutch), where Toroa and Tama wrote the word out in large decorative letters along the wall of our livingroom. During the feast, Tama (as a lion) and Toroa placed items on a low table and hang things and words on the wall while music was playing and Hannah (shown on the lower left in the drawing) and Sonja projected slides onto the wall.

choose another month During the meal before the feast, those there were asked to write down what grandeur meant to them and during the feast, they hang these texts on the wall.

May 29th:
At school the boys did a sponsor walk to raise money for play equipment for the school. Tama did one lap and only got one sponsor while Toroa did 20! and made some effort to get two neighbhours to sponsor him as well as us.
We warned Tama that he needs to work on his community spirit.
