The airplane is a lamp made out of porcelain which Tama painted gold at a recycling art event in December 1998 in Northern France.

July A corner of the livingroom shows what we've been busy with lately: The green thing is Toroa's violin. He and Tama (as well as all the other students) had a floor spot at the end of the year music school concert on the last day of June. Sonja was using the 2 walking sticks to practice her performance which involves walking with these along the cloth images, and on the floor are the ever present collections of lego creations. |

High School Impending Sen bought a secondhand desk from the university which we arranged into Toroa and Tama's room so now there are two desks lining one side of their room. The white one is for Toroa and all his high school books which Sen has started buying. In June I took Toroa for an introductory day at the high school and was told that hiring the books would cost 530 Euro's, about 2/3 of the price of buying the 30 or so books. I was shocked and I was told that no one buys or sells secondhand for the lower years of highschool. Then Sen went around the secondhand book shops and found half of the books for less than half price. So now we needed a desk for all these books! Tama is at their computer, a 386 which they use for games and Word documents for school projects. The brown shape to his right is his desk (Toroa's old desk) which houses his collection of harmonicas and recorders. Then friends told us of a subsidy that we will probably get for Toroa's high school costs which may even cover all the costs of our secondhand books. |

At work I was working on 3 new games for book week later in the year. For one game I was working with Oscar, a programmer, and I found this stressful.
I also made up a video tape of 4 videos to go into the exhibition in London and while I was at it, I made some stills for my website. (Click for more about this video) |
