Tahora - our last day

Richard, the pianist,
had been some of those who had jammed all night.

Other early birds were already at the tent with chairs.
Note: the broomstick on the ground, a leftover from the evening's flying about.

Peter and Toroa (on book).

It was so hard to leave!

Tamatea and Alex in front the where we all slept with Jude and Jock. The cans are in the process of becoming a boat for the yacht race.

..and the yacht race! Tamatea pleaded a special case since he'd worked on one of the vessels.

But no, we had to leave. We drove up the hill to look upon the yacht club where Duanne was with his son on a rubber boat and one other was putting his yacht through some trials.

Then just as I was leaving Kerry came up with some huge pieces of paper. They were "cards" I had made for him for his birthday in 1978 or 1979. Probably in June 1979.

His instruction was that they can only come back in a frame.
It was too much for words. I saw Kayte's name there too and so it brought back memories of my New Plymouth nurse training days. Wow.
