The final horse riding lesson

Drawing by Toroa.

The boys had their final horse-riding lesson.

They brought home forms for doing further lessons but, we told them that they have to pay for their own lessons from now on.

<-- Note: the figure in brackets. He has been taught that if he makes a mistake in writing to put a bracket around the mistake.

February 23rd
Tama went through a drawing frenzy making semi-surrealist drawings one after the other. Below is one of them.

Each of the tiny figures is a family member.
Left to Right: Tama on a horse between the houses, Sen in the plane, Sonja almost at the top of the mountain, and Toroa playing the violin.

Toroa got his cito-test results. 548 out of 550. This is not very meaningful when a score of 512 was considered extremely low, however he was rated at 97% out of all the 11 and 12 year olds who sat the test in Holland. So he did well and can go to the high school we chose. Now he needs to practice for his entrance exam for music.

A Leidenesque sunset viewed from our living room.

Here are some photos from the playing.

Feb 26: Ayyám-i-Há Party

The boys and I cycled to our neighbouring Bahai community to go to their Ayyám-i-Há Party. It was a mere 10 minutes on the bicycle. First we ate pancakes and delicious food and then we played games and sang.

The shooting candles with the water pistol was very popular.

Finally... a drawing by Tama in photoshop done at my work on February 25th.

And a new game at my work. Nineteen owls and bats to find by clicking on a black screen.
